Mohamed Badine El Yattioui Ph.D. Assistant Professor

Dr. Mohamed Badine El Yattioui is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Studies in the National Defence College of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi. Prior to join the NDC, he taught in the College of Security and Global Studies of the American University in the Emirates in Dubai, in the University of the Americas in Puebla (UDLAP) in Mexico and in Jean Moulin Lyon III University in France. He also has an experience as program director of graduate programs in Mexico (UDLAP) and UAE (CSGS, AUE)

He is a practice-oriented academic with extensive academic experience in areas of geopolitics, diplomacy, foreign policy analysis, History of international relations, international negotiations, international political economy and international security.

Dr. Mohamed Badine El Yattioui holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Lyon III Jean Moulin, and a master's degree in International Relations following a bachelor degree in History from the same French university. His research interests are related to diplomacy and security in Latin America and MENA regions. He is an author of more than 40 peer reviewed papers and book chapters published in English, Spanish and French.
